Varnishing/sealing:

The application of a varnish/sealant to a surface to offer protection against marking and improve it's overall appearance.

Vector Image:

An image described as a series of reference points rather than a bitmap. Typically produced by a drawing application such as Illustrator or Freehand. The image is not resolution dependant and can usually be enlarged without loss of quality.

VOC:

Volatile organic compounds. Pollutants released from liquids or chemicals.
