An older file transfer system relying on phone lines. Broadband has in the main replaced this.
Image area:
Portion of paper where ink appears.
Imagesetter:
A machine that converts the digital file into film.
Imposition:
Positioning pages in a press-ready form so that they will be in the correct numerical sequence after folding.
Indicia:
Postal information place on a printed product.
Intensity:
Colour saturation.
Interleaving:
Slip sheeting. When sheets of paper are placed in-between printed sheets to avoid set off.
ISO9001:
Internationally recognised quality management system.
ISO14001:
Internationally recognises environmental management system.
Ivory board:
A smooth high white board used for business cards etc.
